"She Bangs"... haha, I don't think so

I've been watching American Idol: Season 3 religiously these past couple months and what disturbs me the most is sumed up in 2 words - William Hung.

If you are either NOT toned deaf or have eyes to see how he dances, you too would probably wonder why this particular individual has intriged SO many people around the world.

Firstly, WHY HIM? I speak for a lot of people who have probably seen much worse auditions this season including the “Clay look alike,” the Bulgarian guy whom none of us could tell which song he was indeed singing (with his eyes closed even) and battered a perfectly good Elton John son, or even that other Asian chick that goes to Harvard (with the freaky tone of voice.)

What's worse are those who constantly return year after year to be again shot down by Simon Cowell who comments on their “ghastly” singing. Seriously, do these people have any idea how ridiculous they look or are they much too full of themselves to realize this?

Back to William Hung. Does he not know that most of us are laughing “at” him opposing to laughing “with” him? Or maybe this was his ultimate plan to enter stardom, which I'd say is totally successful. He's even been offered a record deal and the ability to shoot a music video. He's also appeared on several TV shows including the Ellen Degeneres show. For gosh sakes he's appeared on any other form of media more than any of the American Idol contestants this whole season as well as has his own official website: www.williamhung.net/

Maybe its due to his optimistic and “no regrets” attitude, his buck teeth, his  odd dancing moments when he sings Ricky Martin's “She Bangs.” Or maybe even due to his brains for being able to study civil engineering at UC Berkeley. Well I don't by it, I think its just another cheap way for the people of the USA to making money off someone who is so blinded by his lack of talent.

In the words of Simon Cowell himself during Hungs audition: “You can't sing, you can't act, so what more do you want me to say?”
